It has been some time since I have
written any news.
Cane grinding is the go in this
settlement, everybody is grinding
can?. Uncle Jim, you better come out
and get sweet with us.
Mr. H. C. Roberts spent * Friday
night, Saturday and Sunday with home
folks.
Miss Clara Dent spent Saturday
night with her cousins, Misses Gcda,
Essie and Lilly Tanner.

Miss Willie Heath, of Wheeler coun
ty, is visiting her sisters, Mrs. Edd
Clance and Mrs. Luther Clance.
Everything is very quiet since the
Fair is over.
Mr. Fishor Dent was riding Miss
Julia Lambert around Sunday. Won.

took dinner with their cousin, Miss
Clara Dent, Sunday.
Not so very many attended Sunday
school Sunday afternoon, guess it was
most too cold.
Mr. Fisher Dent and parents, Mr.

Lambert attended preaching at Shep
herd, Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Telmage Evans at
tended preaching at Chatterton Sun
day.
Miss Annie Bell Cain left last week
to assist Miss Lucy Hall in the Am
brose school. We all were very sorry
indeed to here of the accident of our
old school teacher, Miss Mary Taylor.
Little Jimmie Stephens got his
hands badly torn and his face badly
bruised from the bursting of a rail
road torpedo which he found in a
house near Mr. T. J. Courson’s, that
had been previously occupied by some
negroes and which Mr. and Mrs. Cary
Kirkland were fixing to move into.
News is not so much this week so 1
