Mrs. B. C. Barrett and her daugh
ter, Mrs. Solomon, were in Douglas
Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed McCollum have
returned to Broxton and expect to
make this their home in future.
Miss Lucile Lewis is at home after
a visit to Mrs. Homer McCollum.'
Miss Ballard, Dr. Moses and Mr.
Tennant, of the Healthmobile, were
guests of Mrs. Chas. M. Jackson and
Mrs. D. D. Newbern at luncheon
Tuesday.
Mrs. Jeff Byrd spent Sunday night
with Mrs. G. C. Weitman, of Douglas,
and was in Broxton Monday enroute
home.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Stone, of Sun
bury, S. C., announce the birth of a
daughter, Mary Cecil.
Mr., and Mrs. John Wooten and lit
tle son, of Douglas, were guests of
Mr. and Mrs. Willis Wooten Sunday.
Mrs. D. E. Sullivan is visiting rela
tives in Douglas.
Mrs. M. V. Lindsey has returned
from Nashville after a visit to her
sister there.
Mr. and Mrs. John McCollum had
as their guests Sunday, Mr. and Mrs.
Norman McCollum and little son. H.
N. Jr.
Mr. and Mrs. Homer McColum who
have lived the past two years in Green
ville, S. C. and who have been with
relatjves in Broxton for a few days
moved to Douglas on Monday.

WESLEY BIBLE CLASS MEETS.
The Wesley Bible Class met at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. H. Ricketson
on Friday evening where, after the
usual business session, a social hour,
followed by delightful refreshments
was enjoyed by all.
MUSIC CLUB ENTERTAINED.
The Music Club was entertained on
Tuesday evening at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. C. A. Poer. After a short
business meeting, Miss Willie Ryals
delegate from the club to Sandersville
gave her report to the convention,
stating that she was proud of Brox
ton’s record as compared with that of
other clubs. Miss Ryals report was
followed by piano solos by Miss Vel
ma Wooten and Miss Ivella Right, and
a duet by Miss Ryals and Miss Lillie
Mae Bagwell. A delicious salad
course was served by the hostess.
