BIG FEATURES ADI)
TO VALUE OF FAIR
Usually Light Days Froutfse
to Be All-Star Attractions
for the Georgia Fair
Visitors.
Savannah, Ga. —Usually Monday
and Saturday are two rather dull
days at the average fair, no mat
ter how large—and Sunday has al
ways been a serious proposition to
the average management.
Sunday, September 26. for the
Georgia State Fair will he one of
the principal days, if any one day
can he singled out.
This is the opening day of Fair
week and at 3 o’clock in the after
noon the Centra’, of Georgia Boos
ter Band will give one of their fam
ous sacred concerts. This musical
and artistic program will draw
thousands of visitors on Sunday.
. Monday, which to most fairs is
merely an open day, will see the
staging of a reproduction of the
days of 1776. All the exhibits will
be open and the Fair will be open
In earnest, so that Monday thus
becomes another feature day of a
feature week.
Saturday, usually marking the
wind-up of most Fairs. will mark a
thrilling climax to an all-week pro
gram of star attractions, wdth its
automobile races, in which many
of the dirt track stars of the South
will compete for valuable cash
prizes. There has been a rush of
racing stars to get in these events
and Saturday will be one of the
big events of the week.
It goes without saying that Tues
day, Wednesday, Thursday and
Friday, with their day and night

attend every day, starting Sundav
