A marriage of much interest to a
number of friends here was that of
Miss Christine Williams, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Williams, of
Harolson, to Mr. Loy Vinson, of this
city, who teaches at Harolson.
The marriage occurred on last Sun
day at the Methodist parsonage in
Senoia, Rev. C. M. Reid, pastor of the
Methodist church officiating.
Mr. and Mrs. Vinson are spending
the holidays with their parents Dr.
and Mrs. S. L. Vinson.

MR. JOSEPH SUMERS
In St. Andrews Church promptly at
six o’clock last Saturday afternoon,
Rev. R. J. Stillwell officiating, a quiet
but beautiful wedding was solemn
ized, when Miss Wertha Heirs, and
Mr. Joseph Sumers were married in
the presence of relatives and a few
very close friends. On account of the
serious illness of the mother of the
bride, only close friends were invited.
The alter and chancel were banked
with white chrysanthemums and fern.
The brioe entered the church with
her sister, Mrs. Clyde Jardine, to the
strains of Mendol-ssohns wedding
march beautiiully rendered by Mrs. T.
A. Dixon and was met at the sanct
uary by the groom and his best man,
Mr. Thomas Highsmith, of Jackson
ville.
Mrs. Sumers is the beautiful and at
tractive sister of Mrs. Clyde Jardine,
on Gaskin Avenue, and has many
friends here she having attended
school in Douglas for several years.
She was married in a costume com
plete of Rose de Mode, and earned
a corsage bouquet of sweetheart
roses.
Mr. Sumer is manager of sales de
partment of used cars in Jacksonville,
Fla.
They left immediately follow'’ he
ceremony in their car fo 1 seweral
days tour of South Florida after which
they will be at home in Jacksonville.
Miss Edna Ferris left Sunday night
for her home in Atlanta, after spend
ing sometime in the city as the guest
of her aunt, Mrs. W. F. Bronson.
