To the Citizens of Coffee county: —In re
sponse tonumerous petitions and personal
appeals from the voters and Citizens oi the
county I lierehy announce myself as a can
didate for representative from this county
subject to the action of the white primary
election to beheld next September. As to
local affairs 1 am in favor of the election
by the people of this county Of the Judge,
Solicitor and Clerk of the City Court of
Douglas, and also of the County Commis
sioners, and if elected I will use my utmost
endeavor to enact such legislation as will
give to the people of the county the right
to thus select these officers. lam also in
favor of the enactment of such general
laws as will reouire and secure the services
as jurors of all such upright and intelli
gent citizens as are contemplated by the
present law.
