FEMALE
WEAKNESS
642 1-2 Congress St.
Portland, Maine, Oct. 17, 1902.
I consider Wine of Cardui superior
to any doctor’s medicine I ever used
and I know whereof I speak. 1 suf
fered for nine months with suppressed
menstruation which completely pros
trated me. Pains would shoot through
my back and sides and I would have
blinding headaches. My limbs would
swell up and I would feel so weak I
could not stand up. I naturally felt
discouraged for I seemed to bo beyond
the help of physicians, but Wine of
Cardui came as a God-send to me. X
felt a change for the better within a
week. After nineteen days treatment
I menstruated without suffering the
agonies X usually did and soon became
regular and without pain. Wine of
Cardui is simply wonderful and I wish
that all suffering women knew of its
good qualities.
Treasurer, Portland Economic League
Periodical headaches tell of fe
male weakness. Wine of Cardui
cures permanently nineteen out of
every twenty cases of irregular
menses, bearing down pains or
any female weakness. If you are
discouraged and doctors have
failed, that is the best reason in
the world you should try Wine of
Cardui now. Remember that
headaches mean female weakness.
Secure a SI.OO bottle of Wine of
Cardui today.

Proper Treatment of Pneumonia.
Pneumonia is too dangerous a dis
ease for anyone to attempt to doctor
himself, although he may have the
proper remedies at hand. A physician
should always be called. It should be
borne in mind, however, that pneu
monia always results from a cold or
from an attact of the gripp, and by the
treatment of these diseases a threaten-
ed attact of pneumonia may be warded
off. There is no question vrhatever
about this, as during the thirty years
and more that Chamberlain’s Cough
Remedy has been used, we have yet
to learn of a single case of a cold o
attact of the grip having resulted in
pneumonia when this remedy was
used. It is also used by physicians in
the treatment or pneumonia with the
best results. Dr. W. J. Smith, of San
ders, Ala., who is also a druggist, saj s
of it: “I have been selling Chamber
lain’s Cough Remedy and prescribing
it in my practice ior the past six years.
I use it in cases of pneumonia and
have always gotten the best results.' 1
For sale by Union Pharmacy.
An acquaintance writes to know
if James Freeman of Macon, and
James Freeman, of Douplas, are
the same. No indeed, bud. Free
man of Macon is a railroad man ;
Freeman, of Douglas is editor of
the Douglas Weekly Breeze, said
to be one of the best papers in this
neck of the woods, subscription
one dollar per year in advance.
I The “same,” no indeed.
