The American Cotton Picker Com
pany of Pittsburg, is considering the
advisability of establishing a cotton
picker factory in Atlan a. One of the
picking machines was on exhibition
at the exposition and was put on trial
in a cotton field. It gave such satis
faction that over a thousand orders
were given for machines, which the
company wa3 unable to fill. If the
plant is erected it will cost from $250,-
000 to $500,000. The company is
stocked at $5,000,000 and is amply
able to maintain oiie of the largest
manufactories in Georgia.—Atlanta

We learn that Mr. Elijah Paulk Jr.
of Willacoocheo is improving. He
has had a long and bad spell of sick
ness. We hope to see him up soon.
Mr. Ed Foxworth is smiling behind
the ears; what causes the smile we
cannot say.
Mr. Chas. Stevenson inspector at
G& G plaining mill is speaking of

Mr. W. F. Floyd is opening anew
store at Leliaton. We hope he
will do well.
Mr. W. A. J. Smith passed through
Leliaton Monday on his way to Wil

Miss Pate Kirkland is visiting her
sister Mrs. B. F. Summerlin of Willa

Mr. James Wright of Pearson visited
Leliaton Saturday night. We think
he lias a girl here, All right Jimmie
come to see us again.

had a vision the other night and
dreamed that he was kissing his best
girl but when he awoke to his surprise
lie found he was kissing a boy. His
room mate advises this young man
not to have any more such visions.
