Commissioners .Meet.
The County Commissioners met at the
Court house Monday and organized,
and those who had not hitherto, took
up their commissions. Mr. J. M. Wil
cox was elected Chairman and Jiles J
Lott, Secretary of the body. T'pon
organization, all the financial business
of the county passed into tbeir hands
and they are now the real bosses of
the county affairs. They are a fine
body of intelligent men and it is safe
to predict that the county in the fu
ture will make progress under the su
pervision of these gentlemen.
The business transacted Monday
was rather meager owing to the fact
that they had just come into office
and were not thoroughly acquainted
>vith matters in hand. They auditsd
some accounts and defered the build
ing of the Indian Fcrl bridge over
Seventeen lid further investigation.
