(H it I \ lll’ST 151 A l> ISSUE.
On December ISth, next, the Breeze
will issue a I '2 page industrial issue.
It will contain a write up of all the
principal enterprises and businesses of
Douglas, and will be embellished with
suitable illustrations. It will do cred
it to Douglas, give her past history,
her present condition, and her future
prospects. We shall he careful not
to ex&gerate matters, but all who know
of Douglas’ wonderful growth during
the past two years, and the bright
prospects that stand out ahead of her,
will agree that an industrial issue,
preventing this matter to the outside
world cannot help but accomplish
some good for our town.
Now, for the business end of tlrs
matter; the business men and other
property owners of Douglas arc aware
that there will be some expense at
tached to this project, and all who
want to see Douglas grow and pros
per, and especially those who expect
to he bene fitted by the growth of
Douglas, w 11 be expected to stand an
equal and proratta share of the ex
pense, not in the way of a donation
to the editor, but in the way of adver
tising. Every business man in Doug
las will be expected to insert a good
large advertisement in this issue. It
will be a good investment for them be
cause enough of these papers will he
jointed to give every family in Codec,
Ware, Fierce and Appling a copy, be
sides a large number will he sent to
the north and west.
A rrprcKcntntive of the Breeze will
call on every business, man in Douglas
in a few days, and wo trust that every
man will do his duty and enable us to
make a creditable showing for Doug
las.

A “special” from Atlanta, under

of Governor Atkinson, State Treasurer

teachers fur salaries ending October I.

In all, the State employs 7,500 teach

pay them the amounts now due. Gov
ernor Atkinson, in an interview to
night said :
"In future 1 shall see to it personal
ly that tin' teachers in the juiblic
schools of Georgia, shall receive their
money just as promptly as other em
ph ves of the State.’’
I lireo cheers for Governor Atkinson.
Ho is one of the best governors Geor
gia has ever had.

Worth County Jail lturntd.
The Worth county jail at Isabella
was destroyed by fire at. 7 o’clock I ri
day night. The sheriffs home adjoin
ing was also burned.
It is thought that the jail caught
j from an overhead flue. Iwo negro
prisoners, confined within the prison
walls at the time, were liberated im-
I mediately, and, under guard, assisted
! in carrying furniture and household
j goods both from the jail and the
| home of the sheriff.
Tli3 two buildings were completely
consumed and the prisoners were car
ried to Albany for safekeeping.
Worth county has been peculiarly
unfortunate with fires. Three times
the court house has burned, but the
jail has never before been scorched.
The sujierior court meets Monday but
will m no wav be interfered by the
Friday night blaze.
A FACTORY FOR FITZGERALD.
A Boston Oompany May Operate Cot
ton Mills at That Place.
Fitzgerald, Ga , Nov 2N. —Mr. Fitz
gerald has gone to Chicago to see
about securing the location of a large
cotton mill in Fitzgerald. The agent,
Mr. Stead of a Boston company, was
in Fitzgerald during Mr. Fitzgerald’s
last visit. The company otfered to
jnit in a miU employing eleven hund
red hands if the colony company
would furnish IGO acres of land and
lumber for the building, to be paid for
in stock. The col* ny company ac
cepted the oiler, ant! strong hopes are
entertained that this great enterprise
will be carried to completion.
Had Him I’ieture Taken.
I have had my jiioturo taken. It
was my second offense, my first sin
having gone out of print. Mr. Ball
took my picture, and Mr. Rindahl
cured it. They did the host tlioy
oould by mo. Mr. Ball has the repu
tation of being very good in difficult
cases. Ho worked hard with mo,
and 1 fool grateful to him for his
kind attention during the critical
period, lie arranged mo in front of
a pair of laco curtains that were
painted on the wall with a white
wash brush and parted on the same
sido as my hair. This, Mr. Ball
said, would givo the picture a home
like appearance and would perhaps
help to divide uj) the gaze of tho
person who might bo examining the
jiioturo with an idea of keeping it.
Thus assured that there might he a
likelihood of giving one away, I told
Mr. Ball to take an impression, and
I would ho around and read tho
proof. lie then took up the rubber
ball and told mo to watch the hair
wave on tho top of his head, and the
business clicked, and my picture
was taken.—Grafton Record.

Thin, Pale
Children
One satisfaction in giving’
Scott’s Emulsion to children is
they never object to it. The
fact : . they soon become fond
of it. Another satisfaction is
because it will make them
plump, and give them growth
and prosperity. It should be
given to al! children who are
too thin, or too pale. It does
not make them over-fat, but
plump.
It strengthens the digestive
organs and the nerves,and fur
nishes material for rich blood.

Corn
is a vigorous feeder and re
sponds well to liberal fertiliza
tion. On corn lands the yield
increases and the soil improves
if properly treated with fer
tilizers containing not under
7% actual
Potash.
A trial of this plan costs but
little and is sure to lead to
profitable culture.
All about Potash—the results of its use by actual ex

told in a little book which we publish and will gladly
mail free to any farmer in America who will write for it.
