THE FUTURE OF DOUGLAS.
Our lown on the Topmost Wave ol
Prosperity.
The Breeze has already advertised
the improvement*to he made and the
new enterprises to he started in Doug
las within the next twelve months.
We are sure of.
The Waycross Air Line Railway.
A large saw mill.
A hank with $2.1,000 capital.
A cotton warehouse.
A hrick block, to he owned hy the
bank company.
We are sure of the above, with a
number of smaller enterprises too ted
ious to mention, and next year the
town will he large enough to justify
the town authorities in boring an
artesian well, paving the main streets
and putting in an electric light plant.
Then there will he no heading off
the town in its onward march. Its
future will lie assured and it will he a
formidable competitor for Waycross
and Fitzgerald.
Mr. C. A, Ward Jr. went to Me-1
Donald’s Mill Wednesday.
—Capt. Stone, who is superintend
ing the construction of the Waycross
Air Line Railway, was in town Mon
day and Tuesday.
—Mr. S. P, Settles, who had charge
ot the Leader a few months this year,
opened a private school at Waycross
Monday with sixty pupils.
—Mr. Ryal Wright went to his plan
tation last week and brought the edi
tor of the Breeze a sweet potato which
weighed two pounds, and a six foot
ugar cane.
Don’t forget to register.

They know unerringly the vory day

The boy, like an astronomer, knows
tho preeiso day of their return. Shop
keepers are dimly aware of the ex
istence of these physica l phenomena,
and thoy.oxpeso their wares accord

of tho. hour fixed as by unknown
