in our town- before long. We
heard one of our popular bachelor*
exclaim : Oh, these girls, how good
and bad, how high and low they
do make a fellow feel.
Messrs. Joel and Dan Brooker
are cutting and moving the cypress
timber from this place at a great
rate and all business is looking up.
Cotton is coining in at a rapid
rate now, and our merchants are
paying good prices for same.
Our happy young friend, Henry
Corbitt has accepted a position as
traveling salesman for a house in
lowh, City, lowa. We predict
for him success.
Glad to welcome I’rof. Du Vail
and family back from their visit
North, they all look happy and
full of hope.
Our town is on a steady move
forward and prosperity is playing
its tranquil rays of good cheer along
all lines, all we need now is is some
good hotel man to come and open
the beautiful hotol of Judge J. E.
Ricketson’s which he has had so
nicely refitted. It is centrally lo
cated and convenient to the depot.
This is a good point for some good
hotel man.
