Court Postponed.
On account of the excessive dry
weather, rendering it almost impos
sible to get water for stock in
Douglas, the October term of Coffee
Superior court has been adjourned
until the 3rd Monday in December.
It is hoped that by that time the
new court house will have been
completed and the wells and
branches will be full of water.

Ravages of the Flames.
Considerable damage has been
done this week by the woods being
on tire, from what cause we are not
informed. The train due here
Monday night at 6:40 did not ar
rive until about 1 :oo Tuesday
morning—the cause of the delay
being the burning of trestles on
the road near the 21 mile post. The
Breeze learns also that the lumber
yards at Nichols were on fire Mon
thly evening, destroying quite an
amount of lumber. Not only the
above news reaches us, but we
hear of bridges and fences in dif
ferent parts of the county that are
going down before the fiery
element.

The Sheriff and Ordinary.
Some people who have legal ad
vertising are of the opinion that if
they can get their citations and
sheriff’s sales into the hands of the
Sheriff and Ordinary that they are
all right, and these officers are re
sponsible. I'his is all wrong : the
advertiser pays, not they, and the
advertiser is responsible, not the
Sheriff, Clerk or Ordinary. It is
always best for advertisers to have
the notices written out, find out
the cost of publication, give that
amount to the officer to pav the
prinjer and all trouble is over. No,
we don’t charge them up to the
officers, and we are not going to
accept any w ithout pay in advance.

So, now, dear friends, when you
want legal advertising remember
this, for we wont depart from from
the rule for any one. If you havn’t
the money let the advertising wait
until you get it. It is no worse for
it to wait than it is for us. Those
indebted to us are requested to
come forward and pay up, and
save further annoyance to them
and us. Legal advektising must

A Night of Terror.
“Awful anxiety was felt for the
widow of the brave General Burnham
of Mach...... Mo., when thedoctors said
she could not live till morning” writes
Mrs. S. If. Lincoln, who attended her
that fearful night. “All thought she
must soon die from Pneumonia, but
she begged for Dr. King’s New Discov
ery, saying it had more than once saved
her life, and had cured her of con
sumption. After three small doses
she slept easily all night, and its fur
ther use completely cured her.” This
marvelous medicine is guaranteed to
cure all Throat, Chest and Lung Dis
