Ist. That they desire, themselves, their
associates and successors, to be incorpo

Bicycle Ordinance.
At last meeting of Council, a peti
tion was presented to prohibit the
riding of bicycles on the side-walks,
after some discussion, it was resolved:
j That it be ordained by the mayor and
i Aldermen of file city of Douglas that
| it shall lie unlawful for any person or
[ persons to ride a bicycle or tandem on
j the following side walks in the city of
Douglas; beginning at Walnut and
Ward streets to l’earl street, and on
i Walnut street from the residence of
j 13. Peterson to Sycamore street, and
I on the South side id' Sycamore street
!to Gaskin avenue, and on the North
; side of \\ aril street to Gaskin avenue,
for any violation of this ordinance to
he fined not less than one dollar nor
more than five dollars, or not less than
five days nor more than fifteen days
in the guard house, either or botli in
the discretion of the Mayor.
