'l'he foreman of the Plant. System
Machine Shop in VN’aycross met
with a quick death last Thursday
night. During the storin an elec

man who went to his rescue met
nearly (he same fate.
When Judge Tillman said “Guer

goose chase of a campaign for
nearly 12 months, and his sudden
war against railroads after he had
been thrown out of one’s employ,
as is well known, his denial not
withstanding, affirms the truthful
ness of the assertion.
jMr. John Greer, of the Waycross
Journal, says the Breeze is making
votes for Gueiry in Coffee county.
From the observations of the editor
of the Breeze, while in Waycross
Hast Ounday it is more than tin
journal is doing in Ware. The
recent visits of John Greer and Sam
Jones killed Guerry’s chances in
Coffee, if he had liny.
Mr. Guerry. said Mr. Estill was
an anti-prohibitionist, John Greer’s

do so,_ but by a life of total ab
stinence sets an example before the
thousands of well paid and well
clothed men who have worked, for
him twenty years, that has made
for their families happy homes.
Mr. Guerry has never done so.

Advertising for Husbands.
The New York Journal, of last
Saturday, tells of the arrest of a
lady in that town, Mrs. Schauss,
who has been advertising as “a
fascinating widow, brunette, very
handsome, who wants a husband,”
and who was r,/rested for using the
mails for fraudulent purposes. In
answer to this adveitisement she
received many requests for descrip
tions of herself and her photo. She
replied in glowing terms, sending
the photos of some beautiful wo
man, not herself, which always
caused a continuance of the corres
pondence, terminating in a subse
quent request for $50,00 to defray
expense of preparation for the nup
tial ceremonies. After the $50,00
was received the amorous corres
pondent never could get another
answer to his letters, which came
like shot from a gattiing gun. But
she struck her match finally and
came to grief. An old Georgia
widower wrote to her, received the
beautiful p|>oto, &c, sent the $50,00
by post office money order and i ol
io wed on same train. He found
the lady who receipted for the
money, she was the sickly con

Valuable Instruction to Voters.
The voter who does not pay par
ticular attention to the instruction
of the Executive Committee will
vote wrong. No ballot will he
counted that is not printed correct
ly. The names of all candidates
for any particular office will be
printed one under the other on the
ticket, and the ones you do not
wish to vote for must he crossed
off—marked oft’, leaving only one
name, for that office, —and a pen
or indellible pencil is the best
eraser. There will he three names
on the ticket for governor, and if
you vote the ticket with all three
of these names it will count for
nothing. For instance, there will
be,
Kor Governor,
J. M. Terrell,
‘DuPont Guerry,
J. 11. Estill,
If you* want to vote for Terrell
you mailt out DuPont and J. H.
Estill. If for Guerry you mark out
Terrell aqd L’.ffAll. If for Estill you
mark out Terrell and Guerry. If
you fail to do this your bajjqt, will
not be counted .for gover nor. In
regard t> county candidates you
must do the same. If your ballot
carries two names for same office it
will not be counted.

Get your bathing suit ready, hoys
and girls, we have sent Mr. Mc-
Fadden word that its time for us
to “go in washing.” He thinks
so too as we havin’t hit the water
since last summer, and will provide
an excursion to the sea-shore at an
early date.
Carry your Laundry to Arthur
Brooks, at the Barber shop, on
Tuesday. Will he returned from
Fitzgerald Laundry on Friday.
We are glad to know Mr. Me-
Fadden intends to give us some
excursions to “go in washing”
after the primary. All the candi
dates, the successful as well as the
defeated will want to go down and
wash off the mud they have spat

Is your property insured against
fire and lighting? If not, you will
do well to consult Baker & Tanner,
and get a policy.
It is about time for editor Per

when “it looked like Terrell,” hut
now since Estill is “getting on

Jewels, candy, flowers, man—that is

Jewels form a magnet of mighty power
