Stationary Registration Lists.
Mr. Thomas Daniel, the Tax
Collector, informs us that he will
soon have his dates published, and
| that at each presinct there will be
I a registration list, that all who
" pay taxes may register for the fall
' elections. Those who do not reg
ister cannot vote. These lists will
not be allowed to be carried about
over the country for the enrollment
of parties who will not meet the
Collector, pay taxes and register.
Fearful of the Ladies.
“The editor of the Florida Times-
Union and Citizen hopes that wo
men will not find business so profi
table as to warrant them in driving
men out of it. Men cannot do their
work, but they have ev
deuce in their ability to do oui.
It is to be hoped that women will |
apply for and be retained in any
position they are capable of filling.
Deserving, competent men will not
lit? put aside for them, hut in this
day and time the ladies are becom
ing a fearful competitor, because
two-thirds of the men think more
of cigarettes and whiskev than of
health and business, the uso of either
disqualifying them for business.
If (be dudish young men will con
tinue these practices, with late
hours after business, they may ex
pect to be almost entirely excluded
from responsible business positions
in less than ten years. We write
from observation. Not from hear
say.

The name of lion. Robert G. \
Dickerson, of Homerville, ex-sen- 1
ator from this .district, and brother;
of our fellow townsman, Mr. M.
I). Dickerson, was among the num
ber under consideration for ap
pointmen to the vacancy on the
Superior Court Bench, which has
been filled by the selection of Judge
Dart. Mr.-Dickerson was not a
direct applicant, but his name was
presented to the governor by friends
who him strongly and
urged that he.be appointed, and he
finally signified his willingness to
accept the office if tendered him in
the eventHhat Judge T. A. Parker
(whom he bad endorsed when
judge 'Dennett's resignation was
first sent in) was not appointed.
After reaching this conclusion,
however, several applicants enter
ed the fied, some of them his warm
personal and political friends, and
lie notified the governor not to fur
ther consider his name. Mr. Dick
erson is strong politically and would
have made® good fight, his chances
being considered as good as any
othprs mentioned for the place.

light is Right
When a member of your family
dies you expect a suitable notice of
that fact, and you feel bad if it is not
given, and you expect the Breeze
■to do that work. This is right.
'That is the duty and pleasure of the
Breeze. And when you want a
tombstone, wire or iron fence, for
tlfe departed one, the Breeze can
furnish that slso, just as cheap, same
designs any tSie else can, same mar
ble, and just as good work. It it
is the duty the Breeze to publish
the obituaries it is certainly your
duty to buy the tombstone and
fences from; the Breeze. That’s
plain, truthful talk on a business
principle, aid if you neglect the
Breeze it will be noticed, and in
future you wifi have no cause to
complain of neglect. Right is
right, and right wrongs no man.

Brain-Food Nonsense-
Another ridiculous food fad has been
branded by the most competent author
ities. They have dispelled the silly
notion that one kind of food is needed
for brain, another for muscles, and
still another for bones. A correct diet
will not only nourish a particular part
of the body, but it will sustain every
other part. Yet, however good your
food may be, its nutriment is destroy
ed by indigestion or dyspepsia. You
must prepare for their appearance or
prevent their coming by taking regu
lar doses of Green’s August Flower,
the favorite medicine of the healthy
millions. A few doses aids digestion,
stimulates the liver to healthy action,
purifies the blood, and makes you feel
buoyant and vigorous. You can get
this reliable remedy at. Sibbett Drug
Cos. Get Green’s -Special Almanac.
Cols. Quincey and McDonald
were gone several days last week,
and the later refused to tell where
he had been. Col. Quincey, how
ever. says they were at Warm
Springs, Atlanta and other places.
As they are both temperate it is not
supposed that they would like for
their friends to know exactly where
these “other places” are kept.
Women and Jewels-
Jewels, candy, flowers, man —that is
the order of a woman's preferences.
Jewels form a magnet of mighty power
to the average woman. Even that
greatest of all jewels, health, is often
ruined in the strenuous efforts to make
or save the money to purchase them.
If a woman will risk hey health to get
a coveted gem. then let her fortify her
.self against the—insiduous conse
quences of c colds and bronchial
affections by-Ahe regular use of Dr.
Boschee's -Tterman Syrup. It will
promptly f arrest consumption in its
early and heal the affected
lungs ap'd bronchial tubes and drive
the disease from the system. It
is not ij cure-all. but it is a certain cure
for JCue-hs. colds and all bronchial
Doyibies. You can get this reliable
