The border difficulties between the Fni

They say now that lien llutler doesn't

It is one of the best arguments in his favor
that we have yet seen advanced.

Fashion journals report that broad

dog collar.” “No difference,” replied she,
blandly. “ I've shot the dog, and you can
wear it if you wish.”

he was present at the exhumation of a body
which had been . buried two years before.
The coffin had sprung open at the joints,
and the hair protruded through the open

head was found to measure eighteen inches,
the whiskers eight inches, and the hair on
the breast five or six inches. The man hail
been shaved before being buried. In 1847
a similar circumstance occurred in Mercer
County. Pa. In digging a grave the work
men came upon the skeleton of a man that
had been buried ten years. The hair was
as firm as during life, and had grown to the
length of eleven or twelve inches.
A Hoy Vs Firwt Compowitlon.—The Ox.
“Oxen is a worry slow animil, they are
pood to break pround up. i wood rather
have horses if they didn't have kolick,
which they say is wind kollected in a hunch
which makes it dangerser for to keep horses
than an ox. if there was no horses the
people would have to wheal thare wood on
a wneal-barrow. it would take them two
or three days to wheal a cord a mile. Cows
is useful 2. i have heard som say that if
they had to be tother or an ox they would
be a cow. But i think when they cum to
have their tits pulled of a cold mornin they
would wish they wasn’t, for oxen don't
generally have to raise calves, if i had to
be ennv i wood rather be a heffur, but if i
codent be a heffur, and had to be both, i
wood be an ox.”
