h'N. Knock nml II Khnll be o|iei.etl I nlo lou. Some parties would have the folks to think we publish one man's communii*- [tion and not, publish a reply. We hare i never done so except on one occasion ; that was where a party who professed to be a great friend of TilK Si n, brought in a doc ument instructing us how to run oar paper and took us to task for publishing the let ter from Hell, and also the letter published some time ago, from Jeans Christ, which we published as a curiosity. Wc have seen the same letter in the best Georgia and Carolina papers. If we did not see fit to run the paper as this frientl wanted us, it is no outsider’s business. Our cars nre not long enough to bo led about by such fellows. No man will over knock at our door with a decent, interesting communi cation but what will find polite attention to his wishes. Some people have very strange ways of showing their friendship. — — . —^ That all are not equally sensitive to music is a well ascertained fact, but there are none who cannot distinguish between music produced on a superior and an infe rior instrument. Mr. Daniel K. Beatty, of Washington, New Jersey, has succeeded in giving the public the finest toned instru ments, botn Pianos and Organa—hence his unparalleled success. Wc li avc not received the llnuld legiti mately this month, but wc see from a copy, received clandestinely that Hro. Crytnes is going to print all of it in Toccoa at an ear ly day. Eleven hours is allowed from Toccoa to the Town of Hart well. That would be very pleasant in blackberry time. Ac. We never have known a man to make a living or pay his debts by giving attention gratis to other people's business. It is no longer a thing of the imagination, but an established fact, that our neighbor ing city. Athens, has reached the front rank in the purchase and sale of Furniture, and that the Athens Furniture Manufacturing Company has reached the point from which i it can probably defy competition in this | line. Heatty's mode of doing business, which evinces his confidence in the superiority of his instruments over all others. He war rants his Pianos and Organs for six years, gives from five to fifteen day's test trial, and refunds money if the purchaser is not satisfied, By this means his instruments are brought into competition with others, and invariably come out victorious.
