\vas a deacon in the Baptist Church nt
(Hendry's for 24 years. He leaves a wife
and several children. He was loved and
inspected by ali. The Church will mourn
•his loss, as he was a prominent and useful
incmhcr. Brother Cauthen was nearer to
lis than most men are. We knew him well,
and think his record was fair. We sup
pose he hail faults, but if so we never
knew them. Brother Cauthen was con
fined to his bed for several months, and n
great portion of the time his sufferings
were intense, hut lie was resigned to the
will of the Lord, lie said on his dying
hed that he was just waiting the Lord's
time. We pray Hod to send the Comforter,
and that 11c will be a husband and father
to the widow and orphans. Atnen.
