The important thing about Lydia E.
Pinkham's Vegetable Compound is that
it does help women suffering from the
ailments common to their sex.
If you are nervous and run-down and
have pains in your lower parts and in
your back, remember that tne Vegetable
Compound has relieved other women
having the same symptoms. For sale

Hall's Catarrh Medicine
Those who are in a “run down" condi
tion will notice that Catarrh bothers
them much more than when they are in
good health. This fact proves that while
Catarrh is a local disease, it is greatly
Influenced by constitutional conditions.
HALL'S CATARRH MEDICINE con
sists of an Ointment which Quickly
Relieves by local application, and the
internal Medicine, a Tonic, which assists
In Improving the General Health.

Will Undo Much Evil
By Dr. V. M. Pierce
Knowing the vast amount of harni
wrcught by diseases of the kidneys, an J
having had opportunity to observe the
analyses and the successful methods of
treatment in thousands of cases of kid
ney trouble at the Invalids’ Hotel. I
have recently given to the public the
latest and perhaps’ most important of
the Dr. Pierce home remedies, “An
uric” (anti-uric-acid) 1 ablets, which
I now recommend to those who suffer
with kidney backache, irregularity of
urination and the pains and disturbances
that come from excess of uric acid in
the blood.
‘‘An-uric” can be had now at all the
drug stores. The mere drinking of a
cup of hot water each morning and a
little "An-uric” before every meal
should bring remarkably quick improve
ment. You may have kidney trouble
and not know it. The danger signals
to be watched for and quickly heeded
are backache, depression, aches, pains,
heaviness, drowsiness, dizziness, irrita
k Lility, headaches, chilliness, rheumatic
■ twinges, swollen joints, gout.

BAPTIST CHURCH
The Christian Index, owned and
operated by Georgia Baptists, should
be read by every member of our
church. It should enter the home of
every family. A special effort is now
being made for new subscribers and
renewals. The regular subscription
price is $2.00 per year or SI.OO for
6 months. However, a new subscrib
er may get it for $1.75 a year dur
ing the month of October. The reg
ular price of $2.00 applies to renew
als. You are urged to act at once
whether new or renewal and thus
take advantage of all the denomina
tional news and other fine reading
matter contained in the Index. It is
regarded as one of the best Baptist
weeklies published, every issue being
full of the latest news of state mis
sions, institutions, churches, pastors,
workers and of the cause generally.
Inspiring articles by our leading
writers are worth the price alone,
and if you would be an informed and
interested Baptist you cannot afford
to be without the paper. Give it a
place along with your other reading
matter and you will be making a
contribution both to your own devel
opment and the advancement of the
denomination in the state and be
yond. In addition, all of our various
activities such as school, W.
M. U., B. Y. P. U., and laymen’s
work have special pages. Send your
subscription direct to The Christian
Index, Atlanta, Ga., or hand to some
officer or other worker of our church.
Also, don’t overlook the Baptist
Book Department, same address,
likewise owned and managed by the
Baptists of Georgia. Any book or
publication, religious or secular, that
you may desire, can be obtained at
a reasonable price. Our people over
the state are reading more good
books than ever before, and this en
terprise is thus worthily meeting an
ever increasing demand for the best
and most constructive publications.
Remember that “reading maketh a
full man,” and whether you want a
Bible, book, tract or song book, don’t
fail to order from the Baptist Book
Department.
It may be well to note here that
the headquarters of the Georgia
Baptist Convention and all of the
causes that it fosters are in the
Palmer building, Atlanta. Dr. Cree
and all the other secretaries and de
partments are located here, and all
correspondence should be so address
ed. Offices and quarters of The
Christian Index and Baptist Book
Department are in the same building.
All of above group listed in telephone
directory under general head of
Baptist Headquarters.
Home and Foreign Fields is the
missionary publication of the South
ern Baptist Convention, and likewise
covers all phases of Southern Baptist
activities. Don’t overlook this splen
did magazine by all means. It is
conceded to be one of the best and
brightest missionary periodicals in
America, and is published for every
man. woman and child in Southern
Baptist territory. Missionary news
and interest should not be confined
to our women alone, and so here is a
publication for us all. Take it and
be informed, inspired and enthused
with what our denomination as a
whole is doing to spread the Gospel
at home and abroad. Delightfully
interesting letters and articles from
our missionaries and workers tell of
the accomplishments and needs, on
all the fields, of their labors and of
our contributions. We keep close
tab on our worldly investments. Why
not manifest the same interest in the
objects of our gifts to the cause of
Christ through the 75 Million Cam
paign? The. regular reading of
Home and Foreign Fields and the
Christian Index is the answer. The
former is published monthly by the
Baptist Sunday School Board. Nash
ville. Tenn. Subscription price is
SI.OO per year. It is hoped that all
our membership will begin reading
these two papers without further
delay.

see how far the set can receive sig

receiving range should be based.
