MR. T. WATT WHITE DIES
This community was saddened by
the death of Mr. T. Watt White
which occurred Sunday morning at
4 o’clock, February 22. His death
was not a surprise to the ones who
knew of his condition. He had been
in bad health for quite a while.
Mr. White was born December 12,
1858. He joined the church at Shoal
Creek about forty years ago and has
lived a Christian life ever since.
He was married to Miss Rebecca
Franks on December 29, 1897.
Besides a heart broken wife he
leaves one brother, Mr. Sam White
of Hartwell and a host of friends
and relatives to mourn his loss.
He was in Lavonia Saturday P. M.
before his death on Sunday and is
said to have been unusually jolly.
“Uncle” Watt liked to be with the
Lavonians very much.
His remains were interred at pleas
ant Grove church Monday, February
23, at 11 o’clock, with funeral ser
vices conducted by Rev. Read of La
vonia.—Lavonia Times.
The many friends of Mr. S. H.
White and other bereaved ones deep
ly sympathize with them in this loss.
