Former Hartwell Boy Bakes
Good In Miami.
Both The Miami (Fla.) Herald and
The Daily News carried articles last
week regarding a business change in
that city whereby Mr. Dallas R. Cobb,
■ son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Cobb, of
this place, but who has resided in
Miami for the past eight years, be-
’ comes a partner in business with Mr.
i M. J. Robinson, a leading Miami
merchant.
We quote The Miami Herald:
“M. J. Robinson, proprietor of
‘Robinson’s’ exclusive yard goods
I store, at 14 South Miami avenue, an
i nounced yesterday that D. R. Cobb,
who has been actively associated with
t the E. R. Douglas department store
. ; on Flagler street for some time past
i in the capacity of silk buyer, has
joined him in the ownership and
management of the business and that
II in the future, the style of the firm
be Robinson, Cobb & Company.
"Mr. Cobb will take charge of the
s piece goods department and Mr. Rob
. inson will devote his principal efforts
to the management of the drapery
department.
u “There will be no interruption in
the conduct of the business and no
other changes in the policy or nature
P of the merchandise handled at this
~ time, according to both gentlemen.
“ ‘Robinson’s’ was opened by Mr.
Robinson about a year ago and the
business has made wonderful prog
. res’. At the time of its establish
ment, this was Miami’s first and only
exclusive yard goods store and under
the direction of Mr. Robinson and
his carefully selected assistants, the
R stove sprang into instant favor with
1 Miamians. The addition of Mr. Cobb
. to the management will enable them
? to further extend the scope of their
' services, says Mr. Robinson, and they
s plan to make such other improve
ments from time to time as will bet
ter their service to the public.”
I I Mr. Cobb, it will be remembered,
s married Miss Vera WilOox. daughter
5 of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Wilcox, of
