U k!" Mrs. Weisslitz, president of the Ger-J
man Womans’ Club of Buffalo, N. Y., after
doctoring for two years, was finally cured
of her kidney trouble by the use -of
Lydia E. Pinkhanffs Vegetable Compotind*
Of a.11 the diseases known with which the female organism is afUicted,
kidney disease is the most fatal. In fact, unless prompt and correct treatment
is applied, the weary patient seldom survives.
Being fully aware of this, Mrs. Pinkham, early in her career, gave careful
study to the Pinkiiam’s subject, and in producing her great remedy’ for woman’s ills —
Lydia 13. Vegetable Compound—made sure that it con¬
tained the correct combination of herbs which was certain to control that
dreaded disease, woman’s kidney troubles. The Vegetable Compound acts
’in harmony With the laws that govern the entire female system, and while
there ham’s are many so called remedies for kidney troubles, especially Lydia 13. 1‘ink-
for Vegetable Cotupouncl is the only one prepared
women.
Read What Mrs. Weisslitz Says.
“ Dear plus. Pinkham :— For two years my life was simply a bur¬
den, I suffered so with femalo troubles, and pains across niy back and
loins. Tho doctor told mo that I had kidney troubles and prescribed
for me. For three months I took his medicines, but grew steadily
worse. My husband then advised me to try Lydia 13. Pinkham’s
Vegetable: Compound, and brought home a bottle. It is the greatest
blessing ever brought to our home. Within three months I was a
changed woman. My pain had disappeared, my complexion became
clear, my eyes bright, and my entire system in good shape.' 5 Mrs. Paula

The bric-a-brac maula, as la well-
known, sometimes leads enthusiastic
collectors Into amusing pitfalls. A
French connoisseur lately entered a
Paris "curiosity shop” and saw a
beautiful Dresden vase, Asking the
price, he was told $200, "and,” eaid
the dealer, “if I had the pair they
would be worth $1,000.” Mr. A. offered
$100 and came several days running
to renew his proposal, but in vain.
One day a man came to M. A.’s apart¬
ments to show him some old china
plates, and induced him to visit his
shop in the Batignolles. To his sur¬
prise and delight M. A. snw in an oh-
scure corner of the shop a vase ex-
’ actly similar to the coveted Dresden,
and easily secured it for $240, with
-the assurance that the pair, if forth-

HOME AQUARIUM3.
More In Demand Than Ever—Stock
and Plants in Great Variety.
”\Ve now sell more aquariums and
aquarium stock and plants than ever,”
said a dealer in such things. "The
Increase is clue in large measure no
doubt to the establishment in this
city of the great public aquarium in
Battery Park.
"People go there and study the
fishes and got Interested in them,
and then they want an aquarium of
their own. It is a fascinating pursuit,
the care of an aquarium, and one in
which not only children, but adults
may easily become deeply interested.
“Dealers carry a far greater assort¬
ment of fkihes and of aquatic plants
than they formerly did, including
things cheaper and costlier than ever.
You can buy nowadays, for instance,
goldfish for as little ns five cents, or
you can pay $25 for some of the vory
remarkable specimens that come
from Japan, but you don’t need to pay
anything like so much as that to get
specimens of very groat beauty.
"’Besides the many varieties of gold¬
fish, there ai* now sold for aquarium
stock fishes of many other species, in¬
cluding simple little fishes and fishes
that are curious and fishes that aro
beautiful. A balanced aquarium in
which there are fishes that we become
individually interested in is some-
thing very different from a globe of
goldfish.
"Fishes of the more curious and
beautiful varieties for small aquarium
stock are imported from Japan, China,
India and Germany. We eoiport to
European ' countries, to bo sold
as
small aquarium stock there, small al¬
ligators, various sorts of turtles and
various species of small native
fishes.”—New York Sun.
