As 't has been a lang time
since 1 have seen anything from
our town, will give you a few
news hems.
Crops are distressingly short
—especially cotton—hut yon can
hear engines early ami late gin¬
ning the fleecy staple, which,
however, will not last long.
Our town has boon enlivened
lately by three charming young
ladies,from Albany, Misses Bonin
Roby, Lottie and Fannie Scott.
They lift yesterday for Macon,
much to the regret of then many
friends made while here.
