Notice is hereby given, that in
p irsuance ot an Ordinance here¬
tofore adopted and passed by the
J/avor and Councilmen of the
City of Lavonia. That an elec¬
tion will be heid in and for the
said City of Lavonia, at the
law house provided by said
City of Lavonia, for the 206lh
district O. M. of Franklin
county, Georgia the usual place
for bolding t he municipal elec-
tiojja m aud for said City, aud. the
only voting place in sajd City of
].a von in, on Saturday the Fourth
day of September 1900, at which
will he submitted to the qualified
voters of the City of Lavonja, for
their determination, the question
of whether the City of Lavonia,
snail issue bonds in the sum of
Five Thousand Dollars, principal,
for the pur|iose of purchasing
lot, for the erection of public
schools and school buildings there
on, within the limits of said City
of Lavonia, said bonds to be
known as “Public School Bonds”,
said bonds to bear interest from
date of issue at the rate of five
per centum per annum, until same
shall have been paid off, said in¬
terest to be paid semi-annually
on the first day of May and the
first day of November or each
vear, beginning on the first day
of M av 191b, until said bonds are
fully discharged, said bonds to
bear date of November 1st 1909,
and are to be fully paid off and
discharged within twenty years
from date of issue, from Novem¬
ber 1st 1.909 to November 1st
19^9, inclusive, and both princi¬
pal and interest to be paid in gold
coin of the United States of the
present standard of weight and
fineness, and are to be ten in nuin
her of the denomination of Five
Hundred Dollars each, and matu¬
