stock-holders of The Bank of
Franklin County was heid at

Aderhoid’s first trip to Lavonia
since 1870. lie has lived
Carnesville for the last forty
years and this is his first trip to
Lavonia in that time. The Burgess
house, where Air. George Whit¬
worth now lives, was the onlv
house in what is now Lavoma
when Dr. Aderhold was here last.
Dr Aderhold is one of Franklin
county’s most respected citizens,

AY. L. Smith Dead.
Mr. W. L. Smith, of Ila, Ga.,
died Wednesday at eight o’clock,
p. m., of last week and was buried
Thursday at three o’clock bv Ma¬

The funeral services were conduct
ed bv Rev. Archie Simmons,of Toe
coa, d/r.Smith was confine I to his
room lor about three weeks and
all that loving hands and good
physicians cou'd do was done to
restore him to his normal health.
Mr. Smith was a devoted member
of the Presbyterian church. He
leaves a wife and several children
to mourn his death. He was a
father of Dr. Ben T. Smith, of
this place.
