it was an experiment. Out of that ex-
periment, it may be said, has grown
the Southeastern Fair—destined to be
the greatest permanent fair in the
South
Georgia Corn club boys and Georgia
Canning club girls may pride them¬
selves upon the fact that they are, in
very large measures, responsible for
the Southeastern Fair. It is their
fair.

Splendid Showing Made By Georgia Boys and Girls.
They will come again from 800 to
1,000 strong, and here prizes yvortli
$3,000 await them. The seventh an¬
nual Georgia Corn Show will take
place on the Southeastern Fair
Grounds at Lakewood, October 13 to
20, inclusive; greatly reduced railroad
fares are offered, and all the usual
arrangements leave been made for the
reception and entertainment of the
hundreds of boys and girls who will
have their exhibits here.
Besides the~ boys’ corn clubs and
girls’ canning clubs, the boys’ pig
clubs and calf clubs and the boys’ and
girls’ poultry clubs will participate in
one of the most extensive exhibitions
ever made by boys and girls in any
section of the country, illustrating the
splendidly progressive work that is be¬
ing done In this state, under the di¬
rection of J. Phil Campbell, stationed
at the State College of Agriculture in
Athens,
