THE ENTERPRISE 1
VOL. 2.
TURN THE LEAF OVER.
The old year with its hopes and
disappointments, it’s joys and sor¬
rows is gone. Christmas brought
pain and pleasure, want and treasure,
smiles and tears, happy hearts and
broken ones, Many a happy wife
rejoiced with husband and children
around the cozy fireside of a comfort¬
able home, while others shed bitter
tears of anguish around some lonely
cheerless hearth. Many a mothers’
heart was lacerated with fear for the
safety of her wayward boy, while
others lifted their hearts in humble
grateful thanksgiving for the blessing
of such a fond and noble son.
Let us turn over a new leaf and
redeem the follies of the past by fol¬
lowing wisdom in the future. Folly
and dissipation will not bring pleas¬
ure and prosperity, but wisdom and
industry will reward us with indepen¬
dence and happiness. She record of
1891 is fisinished, so turn the leaf
over and commene a better account
on a brighter page. With bright
hopes and a determined purpose we
bid you join us in pursuit of the
pleasures and prosperity of ’92.
