The stables of C. L. Mize were
burned on Saturday evening,destroy-

H A. Conger, who resembles

from West minster to Carnes ville, the
only break being the Tugalo river.

Rev. Groves H. Cartledge did not

Mr. S. W. Donnahoo, of Jug
Tavern Ga., had almost lost his hear¬
ing, could scarcely hear the leport of
a gun. By the inhalation of gas
treatment, by Dr. Pifer be was able

We are told that in middle Geor¬
gia a great many farmers are plowing
steers instead of horses, and that as
a rule they are the meet prosperous.
When in southern Texas in 1883, we
observed that many ol the wealthi¬
est farmers plowed steers in prefer¬
ence to horses. They not only
broke up ihe land but cultivated the
entire crop with them.
Gill Thomas, the musical prodigy
who exhibited at the school house on
Saturday night, had a very small au¬
dience. Those who heard him say
that it wa» good, and that he played
in six instruments at one time. He
played the fiddle with his foot.
