Matthew Carter, in his 92nd year. He
was a consistent member of tho Dallas
Methodic church, and died in the fill
triumph of s living faith. Dying poor in
this weriii’it good-jtlie was rich in the love
of his Messed Redeemer. On Sunday be
fore he died, he wss drawing constantly
on his bank account in heaver. I riyiug
almost tiie entire day, he supplied himself
houatifully with fundsof grace and Cliri -
list fortude, to pity the last great debt of
Nature.
He lived in Paulding county, on Burnt
Hickory ridge, for thirty or forty years.
He was a man of deep religious convic
tions, nnd laid up treasure above “where
moth and rust doth not corrupt, nnd where
thieves do not break through and steal.''
