Mil. 1IOLDI2N DEAD.
He Passes Away Very Suddenly.
On last Tuesdav night about 10
o’clock, at iiis home in this place Mr.
W. F. Holden died very suddenly,
with what was supposed to bo a stroke
of paralysis. He had a short spell of
sickness not long ago and that was
partly attributed to a stroke' of par
ralysis and it is thought that at the
time above mentioned the second stroke
brought his life to a close.
11c had retired and upon making an
effort to turn himself in bed, death
seized him and be fell to the floor,
lie was replaced upon the bed and ex¬
pired instantly. The only tiling he
said after he was strickened was in
response to call for help when he said,
“Never mind I can get up myself.”
Mr. Holden represented this county
m the Georgia Legislature, and was
post-master of Augusta for a long
while.. While he differed with his
fellow citizens in politics, the good
people Nad much respect for him, be¬
cause ho was a good neighbor, kind
husband and fattier, and a gentleman
of rare talent.
He was in tlieoO year of his ago at the
time of his death. He leaves a wife
and five children, We extend our
sympathies to the bereaved.
Iiis remains were interred in the
Ora wfordyille cemetery on Thursday
at 10:30 o’clock a. m.
