The game of ball between the boys
• of Ashburn—little boys—and boys of
Arabi, resulted in a victory for Ash
burn Saturday by a score of 26 to 9.
The school boys are very much en

Mr. and Mrs. T. A Royal spent last
Friday fishing in Cork’s Ferry on Flint
river.
Tip Cox Oordele. left Monday on a business

his regular appointment.

Arabi folks. We learn she is going to
take the postofflee.
Rev J J Hyman preached a very
interesting sermon Sunday, to a large
congregation.
Misses Ethel and Bessie Carroll left
last Tuesday will on.a trip to Elko. Miss
Bessie spend several days for her
her health and then both will return
to Arabi
The teachers and pupils are now
busy at work for commencement. The
occasion promises to be very interest
ing.
Mr J D Wrye and daughter, little
Lou, are visiting relatives and friends
in Ashburn this week, on account of
t heir health.
Mrs. McClain, of Will Fenn, is visiting this
her brother, Mr. Southwell,
week.
OBITUARY
Died, in Arabi, May 14th, $899, little
Florence, the babe of Will ®rm Lula
Southwell, laid age 2 years, and was church- lov
ingly away in Zion Hope resurrection
yard, there to await the
morn. Little Florence 4s not dead,
but sleepeth. There she will beckon
for papa and mamma. The entire
community bereaved extends sympathy to the
family.

Mrs. H. C. Kinchen received a
letter from Buena Vista, Ga.,
Monday, stating that her mother,
Mrs. J. R. Bullock, who is uearly
80 years of age, had fallen out of
the house and sustained severe
injuries. Mrs. Kinchen left Tues
day morning to visit her mother.
