Monday in a row over an article in
his paper.
Four negioes in Alabama embibed
too freely and went to sleep on a
railroad track. They are not likely
to get by St. Peter after leaving here
in that shape.
If the fellows who are discussing
the means and possibilities of the
deportation of the negroes from the
South, would themselves go to work
und set some examples of energy and
and success to the negroes, it might
have a better influence. The negro
is a part of the South. What he
needs is an influence to organize him
and to implant within him a spirit of
pride to well-doing. The negro Is
less of a problem than we endeavor
to believe.—Madison Advertiser.
