the remains of his brother, Mr.
B. F. Herring, to Social Circle.
The railroads are giving cheap

Air. Eugene Stead, brother of
Mr. A. M. Stead, has been in Cor
dele several days, representing
the Economy Gas Light Co. The
lamp gives an exceedingly bril
liant light and is claimed to burn
at a cost, of one-fourth of one per
cent an hour.
Supt. Howell announced Sun
day, at the First Baptist church,
that although the church at pres
ent had no pastor, yet there
would be preaching regularly
every Sunday morning and eve
ning as heretofore, by different
ministers. The public cordially
invited to attend.

who died in St. Louis recently,
