THK REASONS GIVEN.
It is as essential lo advertise in
order to hold good business as to
•ulvertise with the ilea of getting
uew business, says trade. A man
will often Say “I have all I can at
tend to now. If I advertise I shall
have more correspondence to attend
lo.” That man is laying the foun»
vlation for an unpleasant old age. If
the man who is doing a good busi
o–oss fails to keep his name before
the people with whom he lias deal
ings, he will soon find to his sorrow
that his patrons are drifting grad
ually to those who know the value
of printers’ ink. The man is equally
as stupid who expects that an inch
advertisement will do as well as a
kiaif page, or one insertion as well as
years. Continual dropping will
wear away a stone, and consistent
advertising will bring results. Ask
all the great fortune makers of the
day from what source came their
myriads of dollars, and they will tell
you: “From continuous advertis
ing, backe by continuous hard
wrork.”—E
The Williugham prohibition bill
was killed in the Georgia state sen
ate last week by a vote of 26 to 14.
Now, every newspaper in every pro
hibition county in Georgia sbonid
-agitate the cause of prohibition and
aid tho 115 dry, counties to say to
the 22 wet counties, if you expect to
remain in the union, you must yield
f o the democratic dootrine of major
ity rule. The doctrines that “Pro
hibition don’t prohibit;” “that we
<?ant afford to be deprived of the
4160,000 annual revenue, ’ ’ are merely
•satanic subterfuges to rob the wid
ows and orphans of Georgia of ten
million dollars per annum. “Right
for rights sake” is the only doctrine
%ve need for the prohibition cause.
DOES IT PAY TO BUY CHEAP?
A cheap remedy for coughs and
colds is all right, but you want some
thing that will relieve and cure the
most severe and dangerous results of
throat and lung troubles, What
shall you do? Go to a warmer and
■more regular climate? Yes, if possi
ble ; if not possible for you, then in
either case take l he only remedy tha t
lias been introduced in all civilized
countries with success in severe
throat and lung troubles, “Boscliee’s
CStermun Syrup.” It not only heals
and stimulates the tissues to destroy
the germ disease, but allays inflam

gives a good night’s rest, and cures
the patient. Try one bottle Rec

SURE CURE FOR CROUP.
Twenty-live V«»r»’ Constant Use
Without a Failure.
The first indication of croup is
hoarseness, and in a child subject
to that disease it may be taken as a
sure sign of the approach of an at
tack. Following this hoarseness is
peculiar rough cough. If given Cham
berlain’s Cough Remedy is as
soon as the child becomes hoarse, or
even after the croupy cough appears, used
it will prevent the attack. It is
in many thousands of homes in this
broad land, and never disappoints
the anxious mothers. We have yet
to learn of a single instance in which
it has not proved effectual. No
other preparation can show such a
reoord—twenty-five years’ constant
