Mr. Joe R. Williams is one of the
most prosperous farmers in Dooly
county. He is what we call a diver
sified farmer, for there is nothing that
can be raised on the farm that he does
not raise. But he was in too much of
a hurry Wednesday to tell us about
it.
Mr. H. D. Nash, who has had
charge of the large saw mill of
Mr. 8. J. Hill, 3 miles west of
Cordele is now in charge of Mr.
Hill’s mill at Albany. Mr. Hill’s
sawmill interests have grown to
be as large if not larger, than any
other in this section.
Manager D. H. Ledbetter of the
Cordele Telephone and Construct
ion Co informs us that Cordele is
now conneced by telephone with
Albany, Atlanta, Macon, Charles
ton, Washington, D. 0. New York
and other important cities. Hur
rah for the untiring efforts of Mr.
