MILLIE CHRISTINE,
One of the Great Attrac=
tions Next Week.
The carnival management has
secured Millie Christine as one
attraction at our Carnival Oct.
10 , 11 , 12 .
Herewith we give a descrip
tion from the New York World
of this great wonder, 20.000tickets
were sold at Macon fair:
Millie Christine is a most
psychological wonder, or rather
two ladies in one, and is
edly a rival to "the famous Siamese
twins . There is total absence of
anything that is vulger or repul
sive about her. whose four bright
eyes and dazzeling. rows of pearly
teeth light up a fair Creole com
plexion with an animation that is
really attractive. Here we have
a woman with one body, but two
distinctive minds borne by two
separate heads, that are possessed
with marvelous intelligence that
predominates in both brains.
Some of the sweetest music ever
sung by a high soprano and pure
contralto was produced. The
notes issued from tw r o heads, and
yet but one trunk supplied the
verve. Some may have an idea
that she is, or they are, repulsive .
If this prejudice should carry any

one so far as to avoid her, they will
be the losers. We can testify that
no person of ordinary intelligence
can be in her company but a short
time without yielding to the
charm of iter manner and fascina
ting of her double smiles, We
candidly admit that we are com
pletely dumbfounded and for a
time forgot that we were talking
to a phenomenon and became
overpowered by the influence of
the dual brain.
Millie Christine is accompanied
by other attractions.
To Secure Quarters.
Sev r eral young ladies of our city
have formed themselves into a
club to be known as the “H. D.
club. Just what “H. D.” stands
for we are at a loss to know,
though several suggestions have
been made as to its meaning.
Queer, but true, it is a secret

SOCIKTY. Several meetings have
already been held, though the
club has barely been organized
three weeks.
Much speculation is going on
among our young fellows as to
what this organization means and
to what extent, if any, it will
effect them. But as it is a society
composed exclusively of the fem
inine sex and a secret (?) society,
our boys can only await the pleas
ure of the membership of the club
as to their motive. Be this as it
may, we feel sure that it will
prove to be beneficial to all con
cerned.
Wehave been informed by o ne
of its members that they propose
to have club rooms at the inter
section of 12th avenue and 7th
street. They propose to convert
the building into a cosy home for
the club, where they will meet and
enjoy themselves as only a club of
this kind can.
It is whispered around that the
boys propose to organize a club
also, but as yet we don’t think
any definite steps have been taken.
Haids of Honor.
The Queen of the Carnival, Miss
Essie Harris, has selected as her#
maids of honor, the following young
ladies:
Miss Annie Laurie Flournoy, of Ft.
Valley.
Miss Marie Montfort, of Sparta.
Misses Lillie Ray and May Hayes, of
Cordele.
A Splendid Place.
We take ifieasure in calling the
attention of our readers to the ad
vertisement of McMillan’s Phar
macy in this issue. Everybody
knows “Doc” McMillan, and no
body has a word against him. He
has just purchased the stock of
drugs in the city Drug Store, and
invites everyone who needs any
thing in his line to give him a call.
The best service will be given in
the prescription department and
you are cordially invited to his
store when in the city. Read his
“ad” and patronize him.

Military Parade.
The Carnival management is
trying now to make arrangements
with two military companies of
Albany to be in the parade daily.
This will prove quite a drawing
card alone, and it is hoped they
can succeed in securing the mili
tary boys, for at least one day
anyway.
In addition to this there will be
