Mrs. R. D. Brown, of Unadillla,
age 65, died after a long illness
consumption, last Saturday. The
funeral took place at the Metho
dist church and the burial at the
family cemetery.
Mr. G. W. Lewis, for several
years a resident of Cordele, left
Thursday to join his family at
Eldora, Ga., their future home.
Mr. Lewis had the Sentinel chan
ged to his new address before
leaving.
A prominent gentleman of New
York City sent the Sentinel a
dollar for a years subscription on
the 14th instant. The Sentinel
goes to 28 states in the union and
into Canada.
Down stairs under the Senti
nel’s new quarters will be located,
after November first, Mr. A. L.
Powell’s grocery store as well as
the post office. There will then
be three groceries along side each

Mr. George Dole Wadley, gener
al manager of the W. A. L., spent
two 6avs last week in the Byrom
ville and intermediate sections,
said young Mr. Byromwho was in
the city this week, inspecting the
route over which the new road will
run after it passes Cordele. ‘
Mr. J. F. Knott, of near Rains,
that Mr. Alhston Wade had
lost horse. The owner who lives
Willcox county, learned where
horse was from a ‘‘Lost
in the Sentinel. Mr. Knott
