CORDELE’S NEW LIFE.
That Cordele lias on new life, and
that her citizens are possessed with re
newed encry, is evidenced on every
hand, by new firms and enterprises, by
new brick stores and dwelling houses,
by new business relations, by new rail
roads, and by the general shifting
around of many business houses.
It is announced that the new railroad,
the Atlantic A Birmingham, will take
Christmas dinner in Cordele, and will
then be pushed on towards Birming
ham. AVe have told about the new
national bank, the new wholesale
houses, the new drug store, the new
dry goods store, the new gents fur
nishings house, the new livery stables,
the new depot, the new brick buildings,
dwelling houses, etc.
AVliat does all this mean? It means
that Cordele is a garden spot, favored
as a railroad centre and as a distribu
tion point for miles.and miles of terri
tory .
Business men from other points are
realizing Cordcle’s advantages as never
before, many are moving to Cordele,
buying property and opening new busi
nesses.
May the good work go on, the county
still prosper, (lie people read the Skn
tixkl and all be happy and contented.
