g^rriage. !
The most important event of a!
social nature in our city this week,
was the marriage yesterday at one
o’clock of Mr. 1. H. Brawner of Ca
taula, and Miss Maggie ceremony Stanford ’per of
thispiace. The was
formed at the residence of the Oapt.
L. L. Stanford, the fathei of the
bride, by Rev. C. D. Adams, of Ca
tauia. The attendents were: Mr. L.
VV. Stanfoid, and Miss Stella Mitch¬
ell, Mr. R. U. Brawner and Miss Eva
Lovelace. Only the relatives and
a few of the friends of the young
couple were present, and after receiv¬
ing their hearty congratulations the
party partook of an elegant wedding
breakfast. The bride is the daugh¬
ter of Capt. L. L. Stanford, and has
the excellent qualities necessary to
make her the loving helpmeet of the
man whose joys and sorrows she will
in future share.
The grooin is a gentleman of sterl¬
ing character and is worthy of the
lady whose affections he has won.
The bridal party left in the after¬
noon for the home of the bride’s
grandfather, Mr. James Passmore of
Cataula, and to-night a reception will
be tendered them at the residence of
the parents of the groom.
The best wishes of their friends
attend the young couple to their new
field of happiness.
