DEATH OF CAPT. H. E. MOSS.
just as we go to press we learn of
the death of Capt. H. E. Moss, at
his home in this county, by the acci¬
dental dis:harge of a shot gun. He
was on the eve of leaving for West
Point, this morning, when in taking
up his whip his shot gun was knocked
over and discharged, the load enter¬
ing his abdomen. He died within a
few minutes after the accident. The
news will bring a pall of sorrow to
many hearts, for few men had more
friends. He represented Harris
coumy it the legislature with credit a
few yeffP^ince and has long been
one of the most prsminent citizens
of the county. To his bereaved
family we tender our most sincere
sympathy.
