EDITORIAL NOTES.
The number of railroad accidents
occasioned by the late and long cold
wave was unusually large.
Our southern folks are poorly pre had
pared for such cold as we have
within a week. The hope of all is
that they may never witness such a
spell agiin. Its recurrence would
undoubtedly turn a large col¬
ored imigration in the direction of
Florida.
But little farm work has been done
since Christmas, and until the weath¬
er moderates greatly, but little will
be done. The average colored brother
is cold-natured and he nurses the fire
closely when the thermometer is in
the neighborhood of the freezing
point.
An advance in the iron market,
which an increased demand fore¬
shadows, will make things lively in
north Alabama. The growth of
wealth in this section has been re¬
markable for several years, but the
advance in iron if it comes will add
millions of wealth to our sister state,
Jordan’s Joyous Julep, the only
infallible cure for Neuralgia and Ner¬
vous Headache. Sold by all druggists.
