A WELL KNOWN HORSE KILL
ED BY LIGHTNING.
The friends of Mr. Flynn Hargett,
Jr., will regret to learn of the death
his fine buggy horse which was
caused by a stroke of lightning on
the evening of the 25th, mst.
A couple of small boys had rode
the horse to the mill to go in seining
and hitched the horse to a large oak
tree in front of Squire Whtten's
blacksmith shop. Immediately there
after tt^commenced^rainmg. JJ>e The
boys were told to move the horse,
but it was too late, as in about two
minutes lightning had struck the tree
and t h e horse was killed instantly.
“George” was a noble animal and
in many respects the best horse in
the county , an d the loss falls heavily
upon Mr. Hargett. S.
After mentioning the killing of Mr.
F. Hargett's horse by lightning, Maj.

Maj. Hargett has not lost less than
$1,000 worth of horses and mules
within the last ten years. When to
this is added the loss of his dwelling
house and contents in 1878 (no in¬
surance and the destruction of his
island by the big freshet of '86 we
can but conclude that his misfortunes
have been unusually great. S.

If the little darling is spending such
sleepless nights slowly and pitifully
wasting away by the drainage upon
its system from the effect of teething,

I USE IT MYSELF.
Jno E Jones, Fort Valley, Ga.,one
of the leading druggists there, states
that he commends Dr. Bigger'sHuck
leberry Cordial because he uses it
himself, and knows of what value it
is for bowel troubles.
As regards advertisements the pub¬
lic cares not tor theii oritorical ele¬
gance, nor for their geometry, how
long they may be, nor for their arith¬
metic, how many they may be, but
the grand requisite is truth. On this
foundation is built the reputation of
White’s Cream Vermifuge, and the
manufacturers assert only simple
truth in saying this remedy will expel
worms largely.
The world is full of shams, but
there is no sham about White’scream
Vermifuge, a preparation intended
for the benefit of children suffering
with worms. We could show many
testimonials of its efficacy, It is
largely used and the good it has ac
complished cannot be estimated.Look
