School last Sunday and preached at

night. Give us another call, Mr.
Bullock, we arc always glad to wel¬
come you to our Sabbath school.
I wish to say to our Don “Bachelor”
that I am real sorry he hates leap
year and thinks five months a long
time to wait for a proposal, for if
some one of the fair sex had proposed
to him earlier he would have rejected
them thinking it just “a little” too
soon. As for myself I have made sc
many proposals and have been so
kindly “rejected” that I thought it
best to see the bachelor “later.”

says he was fishing last week when he
heard something like the chirping of
a bird and two very large snakes
came from under the bank and at
first he left the cieek in dismay, but
afterwards returned to the creek and
took a closer view of the two terrible
snakes, which he declares were as
large as his leg and about four feet in
length. 0 As they would swim up and
down the creek they , won,a , make a
noise like a bird. Mr. S. is a truth
ful young man, so we ask our readers
to believe this.
