The quarterly conference of the
Whitesvtlle curcuit was held at that
place Saturday the 9th, Rev. Thomas
jq pierce presiding. The reports from
the various charges showed a healthy
state both spiritual and financial.
The presiding elder preached Satur
day and Sunday with characteristic
force. His sermon Saturday was de¬
signed to show that impatience was
not only a fault but a sin. His ser
mon Sunday was a masterly effort, con
vincing, consoling and demonstrating
