times.
Master Arthur Hardy the delegate to
Augusta to the convention of the Juvenile
Temperance Society, gave aa interesting
report of same to this society Sunday at
the Methodist church at 3 p. m.
Rev. Mr. Cantrell, ^pf Troup circuit,
preached at the MethodJst church Sunday
night. His sermon was -very good, tie
and his lady spent Monday with Iiev. J.
H. Eakes and wife, and left for their
home Tuesday.
The farmer’s . hopes are considerably
blighted by the bad stand of cotton We
offer the experience of a good farmer for
consolation. Capt. Hardy often fails on a
stand of cotton. He never plants over and
he always makes a good crop.
The Juvenile society met at the Meth¬
odist church Sunday at 3 p. m. The ‘’Sun¬
beams” met at the Baptist church. The
children composing the societies are un¬
der the careful instruction of Mrs. W. W.
Arnold and Mrs. Belle Everlin. Mother’s
should be very much indebted to them for
their kindness.
Before the use of P ckly Ash Bitters
became gfcneal throughout tho Soufh and
West, it was a fearful dose of “Blue
Mass,” and daily doses of quinine, that
was forced donw the thoarts of su/Ferers
from all malarial troubles. In place of
such obnoxious harrowing curatives,
Prickly Ash Bitters, with its mild, sooth¬
ing action now holds supreme sway, and
after one trial, its use when necessary, is
forever established. You who have
sick-headachcs, sour stomachs, diseased
over or kidney*, can do no better than
it give it a trial.
