On Saturday afternoon our train
was several hour. IhU, owing to an
accident that happened to the engine
at Nances. Ihe train had to back in
to Columbus and a new engine
and it did not reach here until 9
o’clock.
The death of Mr. J. C. W adkins
eccured at his home in the Southwes¬
tern part of the county Monday. He
was sixty-thrse years of age and
leaves a wife and sit children. The
interment took place at the White’s
hurrying ground.
Dr. R. J, Brucfe has the enlistment
list for the Gordon Troop and rc'
quests all those who wish to enlist to
call on him at once. An important
meeting wil' he held in Hamilton on
the IOth of April next and every one
is requested to be on hand.
