To THE E DITOR :
I see in your last issue of The Herald
an article stating that the purpose of the
g.theriug at the tumentine works last
week was to engage in a Sunday school
picnic. The wrong impre sion has gone
out, as it picnic was not intended the beginning. for a Sunday It j j
school from I
was simply a gathering for the enjoyment
of the pie. J. T. Andrews.

Sabbath; he was attending the district
conference at Thoma-Ton.
Death has taken from our midst one of
our brightest jewels, Mrs. Miry Lee He--

and loved by us all. She died at her
father's home after an illness of ab ut
six m nths. From the time of her raar-
riage she has been greatly missed, but
not so much as she will be now, becau-c
she often visited home, which she can
never do again. The family have the sym¬
pathy of the entire community, and the
greatest of all cons lations. She is in
heaven. Her funeral was preached at
home by Rev. It. A. Seale. The remains
were in erred in the cemetery at Cullo-
