Election Tuesday.November 8, 1892. •‘Clfvfland and Stevcmon. ’ Prepare ye the way, for the great cyclone of democracy Is coming. It will soou bo jimp for republcans and third party men to make a pU Raimage up salt rivers Whatever the fate of November 8, Georgia will feel no compunction of conscience. She will have dope her duty.. . _ Vote for Cleve, Steve aud Crisp and you vote for local self-government, for a reduction of taxation and to k}U the force bill. The reason of this campaign being unusuallv quiet is because sectional strife and animosity has almost faded opt, and it is being conducted by an intelligent appeal to the reason and sense of reasonable and sensible people. It is the surest indication that democracy and principle will prevail. One more sboqt, one more bom¬ bardment, before we can tell whether principle and right can fell the great wall of protection and prevail against money, monopoly and corrup tion. One consolation we will have, if whipped—Georgia, brave aud gal¬ lant Geofgia, has already planted the flag of democracy ou tno enemies field. The democracy of Crawford and of the state must not prove indiffer¬ ent nor allow the brilliant victory already won to cause them to under¬ estimate the importance of turning out in full strength and casting a solid vote for the national ticket on [November 8. Qre more warhoop, one Luore battle, then the braves may nther about the firesides of their Brigwams and shout a requiem to de¬ funct republicanism. YVhitelaw Reid, republican vice presidential candidate, in hi* letter ol acceptance says: “Not for one tear ainco March 1869, has the demo ad i>ower to control the d direct tbe policy of s govern meat, » For ter does again his ■ truth i from his bn ought >ur third Mimpres- TaiHi they : i, who«e mi nd and opinions will chapgfb ought to abandon their hopeless cause and do battle for d?moeraey, the only party through which we can secure the peace and prosperity which we eo zealously seek. Democrats are feeling good. Third partyism and republicanism are about to give up the ghost and be numbered with the tilings that ouoe were, but are no more. Chaun ey M. Depew will soon have to cease crying “Sale on, thou great a-’d glorious Ship of State, sale”, foi the ship which republican orators allude to, has sprung a leak, and the old republican rats that have grown fat on board her deck are now as she sinks in despair, leaping across to the ship of democracy. On November eight, let every dem¬ ocrat know his duty and be sure to perform it, though he be called on ts sacrifice his attention to other matters. Let us fight a noble battle and win a grand and glorious victory. The eyes of the world are upon u-, and its anxious ear awaits the re¬ port of a day whose passage is fraught with niaguificient and bril¬ liant achievements. Let the low de¬ scending sun as it goes down In parting splendor behind our Georgia hills, settle in the peaceful con¬ science of a race well run, a duty well done -a battle well fought and a victory well won, and then on the morn of the ninth, when its gorgeous hues streak across the eastern sky, let it proclaim In the bright efful g»noe of its golden rays, the birth of a new era of peace, of plenty and of prosperity to a people triumphant ill democracy and principle over In justice, inhumanity, aud effete re¬ publicanism. •wraaxvg X 't D ’ootienimoa Dp*j*.ai3Q »qj oj losfqn* ‘Xianoo pjojusio jo n •DoittiuiaioQ Xtonoo jo eo®o eqi joj *p p -jpuvj • ;|»sXiu oj 'nouns • ||njped*-‘4 I •Hivoissmmo xxxaoo sox *6XKamar>sao£MT For Sheriff. To the Voters or Crawford Cocxtt: In the opening of the campaign for county officers I anno u need myself as a candidate for tax receiver. It has been c.rcuUted over the county that I was a third partv man, or that I am inclined that way. There is not a word of truth in the re¬ port. I have kept quiet on poli¬ tics.
