Xn Memoriae.
We are called upon to note the
absence and payja deserved trib¬
ute of love to the memory of one
who but a few days ago was in
life, Dr. Worsham. Tie who by
his quiet and gentle Christian de¬
partment endeared himself to the
heart of all save two, has been
transformed by the Bishop of
souls to a higher and holier spere
of action. He was born in six
miles of Knoxville, Crawford
county, was reared by Christian
parents. About his eighteenth
year, 1 think it was, he read den¬
tistry under Dr. Fogg, of Barnes
ville, and shortly afterwards he
graduated and began his practice
in Cuthbert. A short while after
warda moved to Americus where
he met.his bride. He was happi¬
ly married to Miss Monroe 8kaw,
by thiSjUiiion three children were
born, a boy who died some time
ago, leaving two little angel girls
and a devoted wife to grieve with
bis host of relatives and friends
$t his untimely departure. The
writer has known the Dr. all his
life and can say I never knew a
more gentle kind hearted gentle¬
man.
Then farewell dearest husband,
father, brother and friend until
we meet you on the shining shore
of immortality. Yes, we trust in
that sweet bye and bye, we shall
meet on that beautiful shore.
Ah painter, take thy brush for life is
short.
And use the colors left thee, they
are fair,
But carry still the hunger at thine
lie^rt
For that which is not there,
Henceforth upon tliy pallet and my
like
One unfilled place lies bare.
