I have about fifteen acres of fresh land that I will let out free of charge to any one who will cultivate same in good order for the year 1893.| J. W, Stroud. Nearly everybody in "Roberta and vicinity felt a little skittish Friday night week. The wind and rain were Both very heavy. Ilad wefknown that a cyclone was demolishing towns close to us, we would all doubtless have hunted holes in the ground. Pit diggers, wo believe, can easily get jobs in this section at this time. We have heard several talking of hav¬ ing them dug. Things were right shaky up in my room and I came running down stairs, but was to. It shows a great deal more sense to be afraid on such and get yourself up to out for danger, than it does to lie down wit eyes in sleep. I stood within a yards of a cyclone one and saw it wring a large half off and level a big house the ground, besides flirting all water out of a branch and a cow off in the wind, ever since then I feel like get¬ out of the way. It is won¬ what, marvellous strength people display under cir¬ of this kind. I could of some great exhibitions of did I think they would be credited. Many townsgn Geor¬ and Mississippi were greatly by the cyclone last Fri¬ day night, besides several deaths which it caused. Atlanta though with crimes recently, comes to the front now as on all other occasions and shows to the world that there are many godly people in her confines always ready to lend a helping hand in sweet charity’s cause. Messrs 0. (J. Graddick and A. J. Johnson, of Robley, were in Ro¬ berta Thursday. CITATION.
